American Heritage FCU, a $2.7+ Billion Credit Union is seeking a Full-Time Member Service Officer for our Wayne PA Branch.

DUTIES

Responsibilities will include analyzing and identifying member's questions/problems and offering products and services based on the member's needs, opening new accounts, certificates of deposit, IRA's, processing loan applications, preparing loans for closing etc.

  • Thorough knowledge of all credit union's products and services
  • Proactively engage members as their financial consultant/advisor using knowledge of credit union's products/services to provide solutions to their perceived and unperceived needs.
  • Utilize sales tracking systems, member data warehouse programs, and other tools (ACS, DataVerity, MeridianLink, Better Lobby, etc.) to analyze members' engagement with the credit union and educate members in areas of low engagement.  
  • Assist with Lobby Management including showing members how to use self-serve technology (PAT, ATM, Mobile Teller, etc.) to accomplish their basic needs for transactions, account information, and account updates.  
  • Open new accounts, certificates of deposit, MM, Cash Management Accounts, IRA's Club accounts, S/D, complete necessary paper work for ACH and payroll deductions, obtain notary, input mortgage applications, and cross sell products and services to meet the financial needs of members.
  • Process loan applications, input data, review loan policies, and options with member, prepare supporting loan documentation, submit to a loan officer for approval or denial, prepare loan documents for signatures and disbursement insuring accuracy and completeness of loan, and process denials as necessary.
  • Perform routine audits and assist in the preparation of month-end reporting.
  • Perform routine member transactions, phone and mail transactions. Teller/Cash handling and Sales experience via the Remote Teller Unit System preferred.
  • Cross-train in performing routine transactions on accounts, including but not limited to cash handling, check 21, shared branching, soft phones, PAT, etc. via branch or Call Center communications, and research member inquiries including follow up to ensure member satisfaction.
  • Process request for changes and maintenance to accounts, check orders, and Check Card applications.
  • Assist with balancing/settling the Vault, ATM, PAT and provide basic maintenance and repair.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Professional, well-developed interpersonal skills essential for serving members and projecting a positive image as a representative of the Credit Union.
  • At least one year of experience in a lending department or branch office of a credit union or financial institution.
  • Must obtain FICEP Certification
  • Knowledge of member interviewing skills and a good strong understanding of sales and service.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Provide leadership and assistance to Branch personnel
  • Must be willing to accept temporary or permanent reassignments and/or be willing to travel to other branches within all Center City region branches as deemed necessary or appropriate by the employer to meet its business needs.

EDUCATION

  • Four-year high school education.

WORK HOURS

  • Full-Time position
  • Must be available to work rotating evening and Saturday hours.
