American Heritage Credit Union, a $3.8+ billion credit union, has an immediate opening for a Commercial Portfolio Analyst! This position will assist in the analysis and oversight of the Member Business Loan Portfolio and post-closing processes. It provides overall support and assistance for ongoing loan documentation, maintenance of the member business loan portfolio, servicing, and administration within the Credit Unions policies and procedures.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist in the annual review and have the ability to perform annual reviews. Process to ensure it is completed in a timely manner by corresponding with business loan members, providing key follow ups, and ensuring that the information received is correct.
  • Prepare monthly portfolio reporting on the commercial portfolio, using Visible Equity, nCino, and other loan systems as requested by management at the Board and executive level.
  • Assist with records and perform maintenance and monitor all UCC filings, vehicle title, mortgages, and other filings to ensure that they are completed and renewed in a timely manner and the financial interest of the credit union is protected.
  • Handle incoming member requests and make outbound calls as necessary
  • Assist with the collection of missing documents or financials and ordering credit reports. Track all docs, such as insurance, collateral, loan covenants, and borrowing base in a spreadsheet or tracking mechanism. Send letters or other communication as needed to the business member and notify the appropriate lending staff member of any issues.
  • Prepare monthly portfolio reporting on the commercial portfolio, using Visible Equity, nCino, and other loan systems. Through advanced Excel and Access skills, prepare detailed portfolio performance reports acceptable for presentation to executive management and the board of directors.
  • Perform post-closing audit of the loan file ensuring that all loan files are uniform, reviewed by analyst, ticklers are created, all documents are scanned to MBFS, and all files have been certified for application, underwriting, clear to close and post-closing according to MBL policies and procedures.
  • Perform a post-closing search to ensure collateral has been filed correctly.
  • Manage the file retention process.
  • Establish, monitor and maintain business loan covenants in a spreadsheet or other tracking mechanism. Send letters or other communication as needed to the business member in advance of the covenant deadline to insure receipt and analysis of the business members compliance to the covenant. Notify the Member Business Relationship Officers and or the Chief Lending Officer of any out of compliance situations and prepare correspondence to the member of said compliance violation and the actions needed and time frame to correct the infraction.
  • Establish records and perform maintenance of all credit union collateral to ensure it is properly insured and the credit union is protected.
  • Provide and process loan pay-offs when requested or needed.
  • Satisfy mortgage liens or other collateral in a timely manner.


  • At least 2 years banking experience preferably in Quality Control, Audit Control or Lending.
  • Equivalent to a college degree (BS or BA in a relevant field).
  • Work requires basic knowledge of Symitar and advanced knowledge of Excel and Access. Familiarity with PC's and applicable software.
  • Strong system experience with Bloomberg, Moody, etc.
  • Intermediate mathematical skills required (calculations and concepts involving decimals, percentages, fractions, etc.)
  • Knowledge of NCUA Business Compliance.
  • Must have excellent communication skills.
  • Must have excellent writing skills.
  • Must have excellent analytical skills.
