American Heritage Credit Union, a $4 billion credit union, has an immediate opening for a Loan Participation Analyst. This position will Provide participation and financial analysis of credit union operations with emphasis on the consumer loan portfolio data. Serve as a key contributor in the Credit Union's loan participation process by assisting with planning, preparation, and execution. Review aggregate loan data and organize reports to be presented to Board members and C-level executives. Mine company data through software and facilitate business and data analysis objectives for meeting profitability of credit union products, services, procedures, and branches.


  • Work closely with the Lending Analytics and Loan Portfolio Supervisor to assist with planning, preparation, and execution of loan participations. This includes but is not limited to creating eligible loan participation lists and ensuring all loan data is accurate for third-party buyers.
  • Provide financial reporting and analysis of lending participation operations.
  • Generate participation loan volume statistics, analysis, and risk reports to ensure and demonstrate compliance with NCUA guidance and regulations.
  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly loan origination, production, and portfolio reports for the lending department, including but not limited to daily loan volume and projections, budget comparisons, indirect volume and dealer statistics, delinquency and charge-offs, portfolio profitability, risk assessments, Asset-Liability Committee (ALCO) reports, lending board report package, and other ad-hoc reports as requested by the Vice President of Consumer Lending or CLO.
  • Organize and manage all loan documents and data files from third-party vendors.
  • Run a monthly report to compare certified Secure and Fair Enforcement (SAFE) program loans against closed/participated loans. Track delinquency on SAFE program loans and notify Asset Recovery of any delinquencies.
  • Upload and manage the weekly POSitrac data upload to ensure branches and employees have accurate Debt Protection, GAP, and MBP coverage numbers.
  • Ensure that accounts payable for third-party vendors are up-to-date and properly recorded.
  • Provide support as needed for lending management including: preparing for meetings; preparing letters, memos, and reports to be presented to executive management and the Board of Directors; invoice processing for the lending department; and preparing internal training materials and communications such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), guidebooks and matrices relating to lending products, standards and processes.


  • Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
  • Must have at least three years' experience in a lending department or branch office of a credit union or a financial institution.
  • Degree in business, mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, or related field preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of loan participation principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of consumer loan policy, credit granting criteria, interest rates and how they are computed, and required documentation for each type of loan. Knowledge of interviewing skills and techniques also required.
  • Strong working skills in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint. Specifically, prior Excel experience encompassing use of complex functions, pivot tables, charts, and spreadsheet formatting.
  • Advanced mathematical skills required (calculations and concepts involving decimals, percentages, fractions, forecasting, etc.), and demonstrated analytical aptitude knowing when, where, and which technique to use in conducting analyses.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mind.
  • Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret small and large data sets
  • Possesses in-depth knowledge and forward-thinking regarding technology.
